Hi all,

I am a doubler. I play saxes, clarinet, picc & flute.

All my instruments are middle of the road and I've wanted to upgrade each as
opportunity allows. I do so in steps. For instance the best instruments I
have and am quite happy with are my Pearl 761 RBE flute, which I recently
purchased a new headjoint for, and I love my Gemeinhardt 4W Piccolo. It
serves me well for what I need it for. I am happy with my King Zephyr Tenor,
a jumbo Java mouthpiece made it even better. My alto & soprano saxes are
serving me well also.

Anyway. I love playing the clarinet. Although I don't eagerly seek out the
work to play it more I would like to enjoy it more. My Normandy 4 (wood)
isn't cutting it anymore for me although I will hang on to it and bring with
me when I am teaching.

I am considering purchasing the R-13. I just wanted to know if you think I
will feel and hear a tremendous difference in the two clarinets besides the
fact that the price tags of the two are enormous.

Any drawbacks to the R-13 I should know about?

I hope you don't mind that I may be rehashing a discussion, but any comments
would be sincerely appreciated.

Sincerely,

Georgette Calzati
