<< I tried the shoestring after reading Pino's book soon after it was first

sounded fine. I got black shoestring and it almost looked like there was
no ligature. But it looked funny to my buddies in the woodwind section
who went together to buy a Rovner. Since the Rovner works as well, i use
it.
The string lives in my case as a backup. >>
I got the rovner too, but, also in pino's book, he says that the force, or
the pull of the cloth is from the middle of the cloth(or leather) due to the
cloth only haveing one screw, but he also said, he prefered the metal, two
screw lig. because the pull, or force is more balanced. Anyone disagree or
agree with this?
