Hello everyone!

Recently Mark Charette announced my new sponsor page on sneezy. I've
been adding a bit of material, and would now like to tell you about how
I hope to use these pages.

As an avid amateur clarinet player, I am always interested in
performances and events in our area (Southern Ontario), and thought
that I would like to collect some of the information about these events
for the benefit of everyone else who is interested. So I created "The
Upper Canada Clarinet Pages", and have the basic structure in place. It
will take the form of a newsletter with current concert information, and
a section for articles of interest about things clarinet related. Also
photos of some of the things that go on, and a page for links and
musician biographies.

Right now, this is all pretty close to home - my home in Hamilton. I
would like to invite everyone else to have a look, and send me concert
information, or any other relevant information.

The feature stories in the current "issue" are about an upcoming
performance by Stephen Pierre and the Baroque Players of Hamilton, of
Weber "Grand Duo Concertante", and two songs for soprano and clarinet by
Lachner; performed on a 19th century boxwood clarinet with a 1857
Chickering pianoforte.

I will also add new links and information as I come across rthem.
