Klarinet Archive - Posting 000214.txt from 2000/02

Subj: [kl] Sabine Meyer's English
Date: Fri, 4 Feb 2000 12:52:17 -0500

When I said that Meyer's English might need a translator, I did not mean
to say that she spoke no English. When she played K. 622 in San
Francisco about 10 years ago I went to the concert and, afterwards a
number of us went backstage to congratulate her on her performance.

At that time she struggled in her English conversation. If, as some of
you have said, things are better now, that's great. But it would still
be a good idea to have a translator available just in case.
