These were my favorites - I find them to be very consistent and
to behave very well for me (really nice tone, easy to tongue, easy to
blow, long-lived). The 1x, 2x and 3x are not the strength but
represents how many times the reeds were play tested and polished.
The strength is indicated by the standard numbering 1 - 5.

Having said all that, be aware that the company has recently gone
through a significant change in which the strengths of the reeds were
supposedly brought more into line with the Vandoren strengths and I'm
not sure they are still using the 1x - 3x designation. You'll need
to find out whether you are dealing with the old ones (in which case
they generally run harder than vandorens, although that varies with
exactly what strength you're looking at) or the new ones (in which
they are reported to be consistent in strength with the V12).
Since they have stopped making my favorite strength, I have not tried
the new ones so I can't speak to whether the quality has been
maintained in the transition.
