Dear Klarinetists:

I'm in an orchestra playing the Rachmaninov 2nd symphony in a few
weeks. The bass clarinet part is in bass clef in A. Our bass
clarinet player would dearly love a transposed treble clef part in
Bb, or at least with one of these two properties. Does anyone have
one they would be willing to lend or know where to find one?

Of course, offers to lend us a bass clarinet in A will be gladly
entertained as well. Suggestions that this is a superb opportunity
to perfect an important sight-transposition skill will also be
considered -- after the bass clarinetist completes her Ph.D.
dissertation and finishes interviewing for jobs, which is a few
weeks after the concert.

Many thanks,

Martin
