Dear Lelia,

I bet there is no teacher in the world wants to teach adult players, reason is
simple, it is much easier draw a picture on a blank paper than which had already
been drawn. You get that? I still remember after playing the clearinet for two years
than changed to another teacher, He wanted me not to play the instrument for three
months than started all over again just because different teacher would have
different idea and technic. My old teacher wanted me to play the notes as quiet as
it can be but the new one wanted me to play the notes loud and long. Which way is
better? I still not sure after playing the instrument for 40 years. Actually, it
is not too hard to meet the standard of a community band, I think if you pratice 6
hours a day for one year should do it. (every day, don't even miss one).
