There are some interesting rules that the RIAA in America wishes Web
broadcasters to follow that could make it difficult to play more than 3 cuts
from the same album/CD within a short time period (I have requested
clarification of many of their rules in advance of starting a Web
broadcasting station; I now have financial support from my company to start
an experimental station - Mondays will be "clarinet day" - once I get RIAA
licensing out of the way. "Stay tuned" as they say :^)

There may be similar rules for licensing in Europe. I personally will play
entire pieces for a couple of reasons, one being artistic integrity of the
pieces, and of course when long pieces are playing I can constructively
engage in doing other projects to help finance the "station". You might say
"classics for the connoisseur" - but if I get .01% of the Internet market
listening I will be _very_ happy - as will the potential advertisers.

Cheers,
Mark C.
