Basically with the sax I sat down with a horn and just started figuring out
notes. I had been told that the fingerings were similar to the Clarion
register of a clarinet so I just started playing with it. After a while I got
stuck pulled out a fingering chart and played some more. I'd say what cause
me the most trouble b/c I'm a clarinetist was the lower half of the bottom
octave. Mostly b/c I used to tight of an embochure and kept bumping the
notes up the octave.
