Today's NY Times has two reviews of two different clarinet players
executing two different clarinet concerti. That's unusual.

One review speaks of the Juilliard Orchestra's performance of "Memorial"
by Henrik Strindberg as played by Alexander Fiterstein who "played the
solo part hotly and expertly..."

The other review features the Cincinnati Symphony with Richard Stolzman
playing the Copland concerto as well as Bernstein's "Prelude, Fugue, and
Riffs." Nothing specific was said about Stoltzman's performance but the
reviewer did complain about what he said was "hodgepodge programs." His
final comment about the concert said, "Though not usually averse to
encores, this listener for once fled the very possibility."
