These are word to live by.

Back to the mouthpiece discussion.
Beginning of the month i set a student with the Ridenour RE5 because it
was clearly more responsive and even in tone color than the B45 he was
using.
This week he comes back unhappy with with the RE5, "it doesn't sound
good in the clarion register." Watching him play, he was using a
different embouchure for each register. And that meant that he sounded
different in every register. When he kept a consistent jaw and air
support, the sound quality was consistant.

There are so many inter-related variables.

And i think people write those "My new ------ mouthpiece is wonderful"
messages just want to celebrate. Or brag?
