I suppose the year was about the same, 1958. I had a ten inch! LP (yes =
they used to make 10" as well as 12" LP's) with Kell playing K622 with =
the Zimbler Sinfonetta. Typical Kell style with distorted rhythm but a =
beautiful tone, technique and conviction. It was such vocal playing, =
all other players seemed cold and inflexible after listening to Kell

Who remembers? I was in the 9th grade. It was 1958. Long time ago.=20
He was the first person I heard play the Mozart. So maybe it was the
Mozart?
