The chances are (from the description of the back announcements)
that it was "Classic FM London", a commercial station.
The only other "classics channel" in the UK is BBC Radio 3.
The thought of actually calling the once-revered Third Programme
a "classics channel" is horrible to contemplate, but such has been the
downgrading of the service over the years...that that is what it has become.

Thea King recorded the Mozart Clarinet Quintet
for Saga in 1973 with the Aeolian Quartet and
on basset clarinet with the Gabrielli Quartet in 1985
for Hyperion.
