This morning I called up on the web a London classical music station for
my morning listening and they played, among other things, a recording of
the slow movement of the Mozart clarinet quintet, K. 581. The soloist
was not mentioned either at the beginning or the conclusion of the
movement so I was left to guess at who this marvellous clarinettist
might have been. The player's sound was so melifluous and solid, the
playing was intelligent at every moment, and I enjoyed it very much. I
even stopped working to listen intently.

About 10 minutes later the announcer then gave the names of every
soloist in the many such pieces that had taken place over the previous
hour or so. I guess that is the way that station works. It was Thea
King who played the Mozart.

Classy lady. Gorgeous playing.
