Throat Bb is always fuzzy. I don't even bother using the a+register key
fingering anymore, unless I absolutely have to. The trill key fingering can
be further improved by adding the bottom two fingers on each hand - this can
also be a good way to improve the tuning of the other throat notes. I don't
know about the low C; maybe you've got a dirty tone hole or something.
Check the first finger tone hole on the lower joint.

Make sure you have the linkage lined up exactly right - and exactly right
may not mean perfectly straight. The only time that this is going to cause
you problems is when you're trying to play 1+1 Bb or Eb; I find that on my
R13 I have to have the linkage slightly out of alignment for this fingering
to work properly.
