Despite the little thing in the Vandoren reed case, I have still have
problem with my reeds being too wet. I was disappointed after I
received it and put 4 brand new reeds in it. They got mildewy; not
extreme, but enough to ruin them. My teacher solves this problem by
only lightly placing the lid on so it has a good amount of exposure to
air, then criss-crossing rubber bands to hold it on. I have given up,
and stick to the clear plastic things that reeds come in. A big plus is
that you can write on them.
