Today I joined the one day's "Brabant clarinet choir". It was great fun to
be there: did you ever hear 18 (eightteen!) bass clarinets, one contra alto
and one contrabass clarinet play together? Wonderful.

But I think it only confirms what has been said more or less implicitely on
this list before, despite the trials Dan Leeson is undertaking to open an
FAQ on mouth pieces:

One of the people participating in this day had bought a cristal mpc for
alto clarinet, but it was absolutely unusable to her. So she gave it to some
other alto clarinet player.

That woman had bought a Van Dooren B45 a few weeks before and had the same
trouble the first woman had with her cristal mpc: squeakes, undesired
glissandi, not responding correctly, and so on. The two women exchanged
their mpc's ... and both were very happy, and, I can confirm, have a
beautiful sound.

Rien (note the correct spelling)
