I would recommend a basic student model like the plastic Vito or =
somrthing in that catagory if you want to keep the price down. Its =
durable and time tested as it has been on the market for quit some time. =
It can be up graded later with a better mouthpiece and ligature for =
easier playng and better tone. Sure you could buy a higher grade used =
for a low price, but it needs pads or has problems, this could be very =
discouraging to a bigginer. Some of the newer plastic clarinets have a =
fairly good tone now and require less maintainance than a wooden =
