I'm sure the "woven" refers to the felt inside the pad. Pads do come in
thick and thin, and covered with kid leather instead of the usual bladder.
The A clarinet I recently picked up on eBay had all white kid pads on it.
I only needed to replace a few of these very old pads since they still
sealed well. Overall, Micro pads are probably about as good as anybody's.
