I agree with Nicholas. I am on an Airplane almost weekly and I usually take my
Clarinet where ever I go. I put mine in a small Yamaha Case and pack it in my
rolling travel suitcase. I can put this suitcase in the overhead bin. If I
should have to take a plane that does not have enough space for the travel case,

I remove the Clarinet and bring it on the Airplane with me. I also make sure
that I never leave it in the car once I arrive at my destination. I always take

it on a service call with me. Not only does it protect the instrument from
extreme temperatures but it makes a great conversation piece with the scientists

whose Laser Scanning Microscopes I service.
