There is no one reed which is best for every one. Some of the most
popular reeds amongst professional players are the Vandoren traditional
and V-12, Zonda, Oliveri, and Rico Grand Concert. I've played all of
these professionally, and have made my own. Many people are now
switching to Legiere plastic reeds. I've yet to try them, but, I've
heard good thinks about them. If I had to name the most popular reed
played by professionals in the US, I'd say it would probably be the
Vandoren V-12.
