Y'all know me. I love to try different stuff. Part of the fun...

Well the other day, I was in the music store, looking at stuff.

Spotted a Bonade Inverted Ligature, made by LeBlanc. Well, I had one of these
once, think I gave it to a student. I remember it was pretty good.

I bought it, took it home, tried it. It was clearly NOT what I remembered.
Much thinner metal. But hey, try it anyway, right?

Tone was OK, response was OK. Just the slightest bit "tinny" but not bad.

Took it off and saw that it had scratched the c**p, out of my
mouthpiece!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean UGLY. This was a brand new mouthpiece I had just made up about a month
or two ago, and have been playing on for awhile now. Good thing I like it for
myself, because I could never sell it. Looks like it was in a cat fight, and
lost.

Examined the area under the screws. The metal had been PLATED, but never
buffed, sanded, polished, whatever. Jagged pieces of metal.

Shame on whoever let this go to the marketplace!!!!!!
