Adam,

One of my students (plays principal in the fine-arts-highschool
orchestra.) who has a Buffet R-13 Bb got a Noblet wooden A because of the
lower price. He is not satisfied with the instrument--in part because it
is not the same 'feel' as his Buffet; and in part because a couple of
notes are extra 'stuffy'. (may see about custom adjustment).

My choice when i wanted to get an A was to use the school/organization
provided instrument (which was uneven in pitch and tone), get rather
skilled at transposing up a 1/2 step, saved to get an A that i would be
satisfied with.

Of course it depends on your situation ...
