Hi listers

As you might expect it's me who will answer Dough's question about the
register names in Dutch:

English Dutch

Chalumau register Schalmei register (pron. register like in German,
with accent on "ghis"
often referred to as "het lage
register" (the low register)
Throat register midden register
clarion register klarinet register
above C''': het hoge register (the high register)
Under influence of the Americans
it is often referred to nowadays as
the alto or altissimo

For the so beautifully by our professor of SCSM described Superhigh, I never
heard a Dutch indication. As an amateur you don't need it - do you as a
professional?

Hope I have helped some of you

Rien (note the correct spelling)
