If I understand your instructions, this is the result:
I placed the mpc, table down, on a videocassette box (the only absolutely
flat thing I could find close at hand.) From the tip, about 1/2" down,
there is a space where no light comes through. It's an area a bit more than
1/2". Then, there is light that comes through, rather unevenly, down to
about 1/4" from the bottom end of the mpc, and no light comes through there.
So apparently, there's a concave aspect to the table of this mpc.
Did I do what you suggested, and if so, what does it mean? <g>
