I very much enjoyed the discussion of the Brahms Quintet; very interesting
stuff. I may be playing it this summer and certain to find some of this
useful. But, onto my real question...

Tony, Thank you for sending me the gif file of the revised multiphonics. Had
a good amount of time to work with the piece today and came up with a few
more questions:

1. In a previous posting, you mentioned that getting three different tones
for the low b would be doing well. (My paraphrase and I hope I got it right)
Here are some different fingerings for both c and b that I think would work
conveniently (relatively speaking)
For low c:

T
x
x
x
_ c#
x
o
x
f#

T
x
x
x
_c#
x
x
o

For low b:

T
x
x
x
_
o
x
o
E key

T
x
x
x
_
o
x (uncover this tone hole slightly for intonation)
x
F key

T
x
x
x
_
o
x
x
G#

2. Question about the diagnal lines leading to notes after letter C and
letter M. Are these portamentos (i.e., smear), scaler, or other?

3. What's up with letter E?

4. The multiphonics you sent me work, but are very week sounding and hard to
keep stable. I know you warned me about this, but do you have any suggesions?
