I quite agree that reed and mouthpiece are even more critical on the Eb than
the Bb. Although for me, the Vandoren 5RV was the one that did the trick.

For reeds, I do use the Eb soprano reeds. I tried cutting down Bb reeds and
couldn't stand them.
