Walter, to make your data really useful it would be good to also collect
measurements of really bad mouthpieces as well. If you were to separate all
available mouthpieces into "Really Good", "Really Bad" and "Other", then
make your measurements only on the first two groups. The data could be
analysed to find out which factors differentiate the two groups.

This would require the largest number of mouthpieces possible in each group.
Perhaps a team of Klarinetists could be formed to share the task. I don't
have the knowledge or the equipment to contribute to this part of the job,
but I would be happy to assist by performing the analysis. I am a
semi-retired statistician and operations research analyst working on a PhD.
