In our area, most people buy the Selmer/Bundy, primarily because it is the
least expensive. It sounds OK, but the keywork is not the most
user-friendly. Think of their soprano clarinets and magnify their faults
by the size increase. Vitos and Yamahas, virtually identical except that
Yamahas have leather pads as standard equipment, are the other main choice.
Their keywerk is the same as on the Noblets. All of these have one-piece
bodies, which prevents broken middle tenons and sockets. But nothing can
REALLY withstand the rigors of middle-school students!

If you have to mic a saxophone, the rest of the band is too loud.
