You never mentioned why you are going to play an alto clarinet at a
wedding, seems a bit unusual.

I get reasonably good results on my (current model) Buffet alto clarinet
with a Vandoren B44 mouthpiece. The lowest octave is good on all of the
alto clarinets I have tried (even a Bundy). But unlike the Bundy and even
older model Buffets I have played, the clarion register on my instrument
is wonderful.

A peg is great on an alto clarinet but few have them.
