Ben,
Seems to me that a student trying to figure out a strange
instrument is a classic case of the blind men trying to figure out what an
elephant looks like. GET THEE TO A TEACHER PRONTO!!! (or at lteast a
professional clarinetist who can help you out. Where are you located???
