Josef Kueffner 1777-1856 was the composer of this work.
Bote und Bock published this work in 1943 edited by Leonard Kohl
Kueffner wrote 2 clarinet quintets Op 32 and 33 for cl vn 2va vc
They were published by Schott in 1815 and Costallat for flute in 1823.
It was the first of these, Op 32, from which the IT&V was drawn
fraudulently.
Kohl was probably the guilty party. I have a set of German 78s of Kohl
playing the Beethoven Trio Opus 11.

The discovery was made in 1966 by Ulrich Rau, a music student at
Saarbrucken University. He obtained a copy of the original quintet by
Kueffner and immediately noticed the likeness.
