The Tamburitzans is a not-for-profit organization at Duquesne University
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which has awarded scholarships to talented
young performers for over 63 years. Please pass this information on to
your membership; perhaps there is a young performer who may be
interested in auditioning for our ensemble:

----------------------------------------------------------
Tamburitzans to Hold Auditions

The Duquesne University Tamburitzans, America's premier performing
ensemble presenting the music, songs, and dances of Eastern Europe and
neighboring cultures, will hold auditions to fill positions for its
2000-2001 production. High school seniors graduating in 2000, and
college undergraduates are encouraged to apply. Talented
instrumentalists and dancers are especially needed; the clarinet is an
especially vital part of much of the music in the ensemble's production.
Folk arts experience is helpful, but not necessary. Successful
applicants will receive substantial scholarship aid to attend Duquesne
University, where awardees may study in the field of their choice.
The ensemble travels across the U.S., presenting an average of 80 shows
per season, which runs from August through May.

Auditions will be held February 2 and 3 in Pittsburgh at the
Tamburitzans Administration Building, or, if travel is not possible,
applicants may submit a 15-minute max. video showcasing their talent.
For more information, to request an application, or to schedule an
audition, call the Tamburitzans at (412) 396-5185, e-mail
pudlak@-----.edu, or visit the official Tamburitzans web site at
www.duq.edu/Tamburitzans to download an application and audition
guidelines.

Subject: [donax-m] Seeking Contrabass: any condition.| Octave key modification on 400

Greetings:
I am currently seeking a contrabass clarinet. Any make model or condition. A
full description including any work that has or needs to be done to the
seller's best knowledge would be helpful including any photos if possible.
These can be mailed to me directly via email to my address, or you may
request my regular mail address in the USA.

Although I am seeking a professional instrument, a student instrument would
not be a bad holdover: prefferebly a VITO or Holton straight resonite to Eb.
(BBb Bass)
------------

Octave key modification on 400 (singe Bb Bass) with one octave key.

In addition I am asking if anyone know of a technitian who might modify a
Leblac Bass Clarinet by adding a double octave key and if that is possible
as I may have a second instrument I might try that with.

Many thanks.

k
