Sorry about the mass-mailing thing, but I don't have time to write
individual letters right now...

January 15, 2000 at 8 pm - Concerts West presents the Digital Renaissance
Consort in a program of new American works. Digital Renaissance Consort is a
nine-member ensemble of GenX musicians playing Classical music of this
century: from the hip to the sublime to the unusual. Works include "Dead
Elvis" by Michael Daugherty, "Children's Dances" by Howard Yermish, "Tinted"
by Lansing McLoskey and solo pieces by Sierra, Tom Johnson, and others. We
guarantee all of the works on the program to be completely Y2K compliant.
Concerts West is the Unitarian Universalist Church of Santa Monica's
classical music series. Informal spirited events take place here in the
church sanctuary and a Meet the Artist reception follows. Requested donation
is $13 general admission; $11 for seniors and students. For further
information, call Mar Preston at
(310)394-8140.

This is my New Music Group... This should be a great concert for those of
you in Los Angeles. I will be playing Roberto Sierra's Cinco Bocetos and
Howard Yermish's "Children's Dances" for Oboe, Clarinet, and Piano. With
the exception of "Dead Elvis," the largest work on the program is for 3
people.

I hope a lot of you can come. It should be a really interesting program.
