I hope I am not repeating anything familiar to most. Last night I saw a
documentary about the composer Hanns Eisler on TV. It included excerpts from
a performance of his Moment Musicale for Solo Clarinet. I found the music
beautiful to listen to and I expect it would be difficult to play with its
register jumps and amazing glissandos - well amazing to a novice like
myself!

There have been several requests for suggestions re 20th century solos. Is
this one better known than I think? It should be. I am about to seek out a
recording, if there is one.
