The last article i read that had Don Byron's setup listed, said he played a
refaced Vandoren 5RV.

Eddie Daniels has bought a Kaspar or two from my teacher in the past. But i
don't know what he plays on or sure. From the way it sounds, he changes his
setup alot.

I seem to recall seeing an old pic of Buddy playing a Brilhart once. But
every other pic it's been black hard rubber, so there really isn't any way
of knowing for sure except to get in contact with him and ask.

I use an Otto Link Tone Edge 5* or an old white Brilhart. But then again i
rarely play jazz on clarinet.

What is a good mouthpiece for modern jazz?. I realize that there are
many styles of jazz clarinet. Certainly a mouthpiece suitable for
traditional jazz (translation: Dixieland) is not automatically
appropriate for neo bop. Eddie Daniels' tone often sounds sax-like.
What does he use? Don Byron? Buddy De Franco?
