Late last millennium, on Dec. 24, 1999, Stephen Pierre, principal of
the Hamilton (Ontario) Philharmonic and a "Galper grad", and I had the
pleasure of joining Rosemary Champion (Columbia College,Huntsville AL,
flute) and her brother, Chuck Daellenbach, Canadian Brass
tubist-http://www.canbrass.com/-when they visited Charna and Abe Galper
at their home in Toronto.
Rosie and Chuck wanted to show Abe two of their father's old,old
clarinets.
As the technical expert in the group, I can best describe the 2
instruments to "klarinetists"
as one old black one and one old brown one. These are the technical
terms!
I invite you to enjoy the photos of our visit as well as those from
Masako and Mark Charette's Dec. 12th visit chez Galper.
