Beth:

We have 3 packages that didn't make it to us or to the party we sent them to
last year. Months after having filed claims with the USPS, we haven't
received ANYTHING yet.

Solution: Always INSURE items being delivered via the USPS. Don't bother
with return-receipts or certified mail, they can't be tracked and you can't
prove what was inside. (there is a U.S. Tax Court case on point for this)

Funny, though, the USPS doesn't lose very many items that are INSURED. Why ?
Simple. Heads roll when they have to pay off on an insurance claim.

Youffer's is not to be blamed. Most mail order companies ship USPS Priority
or First Class mail. Why ? Its much cheaper. What good is it getting a box
of reeds fort $11 or $12 (or even $15 or $16) (Traditional Van Doren's) and
then spending $6.95 or so to ship via United Parcel Service ?

You can't track USPS First Class, Certified or Return-receipt requested
shipments via USPS. You can track USPS priority Mail Shipments for an
additional charge. But there is a catch: You can only track them after 30
days according to our local Postmaster.

What brand and strength of reed do you play ?

Good luck and Happy New Year.
