The passage is slow and lyrical. It is marked "Andante" and is in 3/8
time. The entire scene is a small chorus accompanied by a sextet of
wind players. No strings. No percusssion, etc. Just 6 winds:
pairs of clarinets, bassoons, and horns. The second clarinet part
is an alberti bass and perhaps they might be interested in hearing
this, but the first clarinet part is just a slow, lyrical, melody
with no complications.
