Sheldon: I wonder if you would comment further. I am dissatisfied
with the stock thumb rest on my R13. Its not the thumb rest so much
as its position on the lower joint of the clarinet. For me, its too
low (toward the bell) for comfort. Will the Kooiman mount in the
same holes as the regular thumb rest using the existing screws or
is retapping required? When mounted, will the Kooiman allow the
2nd joint of the clarinet to rest properly in the standard case?
I'd appreciate any further details on the Kooiman that you can
offer. Thanks very much.
