This is much closer to the truth. The guy who sells me bagels in the
morning said "What a bunch of bullshit," and I reminded him that people
have been working behind the scenes for up to 3 years to get the code
repaired. He didn't know what I was talking about.

Interesting to witness the Madness of Crowds. Apparently you could not
buy bottled water in many markets for love OR money: lots of people were
convinced that the water supply would quit on the stroke of midnight. I
got home from a week at the Jersey Shore on Saturday to discover that my
fridge hadn't defrosted, the lights came on, and my computer is Y2K
compliant.

My cats are happy to be home.

My musical instruments still play.

So now I'm at work, and everything SEEMS to be cool.

Yeah, we owe the COBOListas a debt of gratitude for this one.
