A Heckelphon is a double reed instrument that looks much like an oboe. My
understanding, however, is that it is a different instrument than a bass
oboe. Holst calls for a bass oboe in The Planets, but it is not a
Heckelphon.

I have not seen one up close so I cannot comment on its keywork/fingering
system.
