Just another thought on this subject. Perhaps you could play the theme =
to "Law and Order". Then they would hear what it sounded like on a real =
Clarinet.

Subject: [kl] rooms of lawyers
I've been "volunteered" to play a short selection for a room full of =
lawyers
in April. (Spare the jokes, please -- I've heard them all). It's my
osses' bosses' idea of corporate well-being and all sorts of other =
#=&(%$+*
like that. Since I like having my job, I have to do this.
I work with lawyers a lot....tough audience! What you need to do is to =
get=20
them thinking of something lawyerly before you play. How about =
something=20
from the "Album for Clarinet and Piano: Percy Grainger: G. Schirmer/Hal=20
Leonard ED-3866, arranged very well by Terry A. Oxley. You could play=20
"Country Gardens" and tell them this is where H and W had their =
altercation=20
with T who had sold Blackacres out from under them. They could be =
plotting=20
T's defense while you play.
