Dee,

Try to sneak a look in the Xray machine next time you fly with your
clarinet =

as hand baggage - if your clarinet has been pinned, the image will scare
you stiff! Anyway that was a very good price in 1965. =

>When I purchased my Leblanc Symphonie II in high school, it was a used
instrument and the shop owner told me that it had a repaired crack. =

However
when I played it in the shop, I knew it was the instrument for me and I w=
as
able to purchase it for the price that new student instruments were selli=
ng
for there. As I recall, it cost me $200 in about 1965. That was over 30=

years ago and I *still* haven't been able to find where it had cracked an=
d
been repaired.

This continues to be my main clarinet and I continually get compliments o=
n
tone, etc.
