When I purchased my Leblanc Symphonie II in high school, it was a used
instrument and the shop owner told me that it had a repaired crack. However
when I played it in the shop, I knew it was the instrument for me and I was
able to purchase it for the price that new student instruments were selling
for there. As I recall, it cost me $200 in about 1965. That was over 30
years ago and I *still* haven't been able to find where it had cracked and
been repaired.

This continues to be my main clarinet and I continually get compliments on
tone, etc.
