Subject: [kl] Clarinet oiling?

... Also, I'm wondering at the quality of the instrument. I'm aware that
today Buffet makes several professional models but have heard of the
"Everett?" and curious as to how the Crampon rates to the others.

Since no one has replied: Crampon is part of the company name not a model
name. So there is no "Crampon" model. The various models of Evettes were
intermediate clarinets.

If your instrument has no model name on it and can be dated as the late
1950s, that would mean it is an R-13. The R-13 was introduced sometime in
the early half of the 1950s. Unfortunately the company (like so many others
then) did not keep detailed serial number records and it is not certain
which serial number actually was the first R-13.
