A good way to demonstrate this to students is to play on their
instrument. Especially the first few lessons. This allows me to find
out if the instrument has a problem (often the case), and when the
instrument problems are out of the way, shows that their instrument can
sound. Usually i use my mouthpiece, but use the Sanimist to try the
students set-up occasionally. Then i can say, 'this instrument will
play. Now lets find out what you do to work with it."

I am also convinced that everyone (baring a very few individuals who have
extreme facial structures) can get full resonant sound quality.

annhall,
stepping off of the soapbox
