my 0.02¢:
Why not add another link to the list that appears along with the
subscription/unsubscription links? That way observant newcomers would take
note of that, and the older members would have more or less instant access
whenever they needed it. If a newcomer asks an old question, one may direct
him/her to the link. Just my 0.02¢.
