Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. My reference to intonation problems was not
so much about the instrument being in tune with itself, but in relation to
most R-13s I have played with. When playing with players on R-13, I pretty
much know where the pitch will be. With other instruments that you don't
see as often, it takes more work to play in tune with them (I play a lot of
second/harmony clarinet parts). I think the Vintage is a great instrument
and if I played more chamber music than orchestral, it would be high on my
list to purchase.
