-I would find it almost impossible to play his instrument in tune. Which
negates any joy in playing the instrument.-

Hello all. I would to say something about the discusion concerning the
vintage clarinets. I happen to play the vintage, and have been playing on it
for about two and a half years. I have had many great, GREAT teachers try it
and the response has been that it is a great clarinet. Now I don`t know if I
just happened to find a good one or the clarinetists on this list who have
tried them happened to find not so good ones, but I know that it is a
clarinet that plays well in tune. Few of my collegues play on vintage
clarinets as does my teacher, and I haven`t come across these intonation
problems that you guys are all talking about. Thats just my two cents, any
feed back?
